This is the 6-wheeled zombie apocalypse you need to own. Strap 8 of your friends in the back, arm them with a selection of longer to close range high impact weapons and start causing chaos. You can also store your mortar rounds on the racks at the back. It currently can’t be registered in New Zealand but can when it turns 20 years old under our classic car regulations. Trade Me is the New Zealand version of eBay/Craigslist. I will aim to post up auctions for any interesting and rare cars that we get in this little corner of the world known as New Zealand.

That, dear boy, is closer to a Defender 130 and then some! Love the 8-bit camo

Why can't it be 25 years old? God dam US gray laws.

The Hong Kong bomb squad have 6x6 Defenders too I think. Not sure I'd want cloth sides like this one on any zompocalypse vehicle, though a Defender would definitely be one on my shortlist (along with maybe a Unimog).

$45,000? Ouch. Unless there's something missing with that exchange rate...

Its a Defender based Perentie which is widened a few inches as well as extended length ways with a 3.9 Isuzu diesel engine.

I'd love one of these.

Of course it'll be wearing a canvas tilt quite often in the U.K. though and the Harley MT500 on the back means you can keep going even when the Landy reaches an impass.

I'm under the impression you could chuck a rego on it, there's nothing on our NZTA website that says it can't. It just says that a vehicle has to meet the required standards to be deemed registerable.
